Bookkeeper Position at All Saints' Wolcott, CT

 

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Enter Bills and Payments in Quick Books for a non profit church.  Manage General Journal Entries for the church Treasurer. Produce reports and assist in financial projects as needed.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma

Financial / Accounting Background or degree/certificate

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge and implementation skills in QuickBooks
  • Ability to data enter bills and produce payments and fill out checks for the Treasurer to sign
  • Prepare bills for mailing
  • Ability to enter Monthly General Journal entries for restricted accounts and investment accounts
  • Ability and knowledge to produce financial reports as requested by the Treasurer or other Vestry Members
  • Assist in preparation activities for audits and budgeting as needed
  • Other Financial tasks in QuickBooks as needed and directed

 

Additional Notes

The position requires two 3-4 hour sessions twice per month.  Total hours per month will be 6-8 hours per month.

Compensation will be $20-$25/hour, depending upon experience.

Training to be provided by the treasurer specific to All Saints’ Accounts and church’s policies and procedures, however, QuickBooks proficiency is essential.
